The Carolina Panthers have signed free-agent cornerback Josh Norman to their practice squad for Week 17, according to a source.
The move comes after it was reported that Jaycee Horn may be out for the season with a broken wrist.
Norman previously played for the Panthers for four seasons, earning first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl nominations in 2015. He helped the team reach Super Bowl 50 before signing with the Washington Commanders as a free agent.
Norman played for Washington for four seasons before joining the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers.
He has been a free agent for the first 16 weeks of the current NFL season.
Norman expressed his desire to not just make it to the playoffs with the Panthers, but to also go on a “deep run.”
