The Baltimore Ravens have announced that quarterback Lamar Jackson will be unable to play in their upcoming game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a knee injury.

This marks Jackson’s fourth consecutive game on the sideline.

In his place, Tyler Huntley will start for the Ravens. Jackson has been out of action since he left the team’s Week 13 victory over the Denver Broncos.

The Ravens have won two of the three games Jackson has missed, including a victory over the Steelers in Week 14.

In the Baltimore Ravens’ previous victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, quarterback Tyler Huntley completed 8 of his 12 pass attempts for 88 yards. While he did not throw a passing touchdown in the game, he did contribute 31 yards on the ground.

Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman emphasized that the team is taking a cautious approach to the potential return of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has been dealing with an injury, due to the upcoming playoffs.

“The way we feel, the sooner we can get him back, the better,” Roman said, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. “Especially heading into the playoffs, (we’d) love to get some work in before then, but you can’t rush Mother Nature. We have to make sure he’s right at the same time.”

The Baltimore Ravens have secured a spot in the postseason, but they are still competing for the AFC North title. Currently, the Ravens have a record of 10-5 and are trailing the Cincinnati Bengals, who have a record of 11-4. The two teams will face off in the final game of the regular season, which will determine the division winner.
